Barbecue Forks - The Controversial BBQ Tool

The Grill Fork is the most controversial of barbecue tool items.  Many people do not use them as they puncture the meat and allow juices to escape.  This can change the flavors as well as cause issues with the flames.  So for taste and safety issues they shy away from them.

But most agree that for large items such as roasts they are a great help.  Many forks include thermometers, which are a great help to make sure your meat is grilled to the proper temperature.
